San Jose Sharks

Small confession: Before embarking on my life in advertising, I submitted a job application to be Spinner, the intrepid mascot of the San Francisco Spiders minor league hockey team. While dangling from the rafters of the Cow Palace in a six-legged spider costume would have been an great gig, being part of the Division of Labor team that won the San Jose Sharks business twenty years later is a close second. The road to this dream assignment is littered with countless oscilloscope ads but discovering that my favorite NHL players are as fun to work with as they are to watch play hockey made it all worth it.

I've never been more proud. Or horrified.

I bleed teal but even I would have a tough time painting my entire house that color. We hoped to find a dozen people who were interested in expressing their Sharks love in such an extreme manner. Hundreds applied.
